The DAT Optic SlimDVD, EUS-B, is a USB 2.0 to IDE bridge equipped external enclosure for slim type DVD-R/RW, and CD-RW drives. With a built-in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery, the Slim DVD works without an AC adapter via the USB port connection Just connect the cable, and the unit will start to work. With advanced power management technology, the SlimDVD uses limited power from USB bus power. Any shortage of power will be supplied by the battery. While the SlimDVD is idle, the battery will be recharge via USB bus power.

With high-performance USB 2.0 interface, the SlimDVD allows data accessomg or burning DVDs/CDs at 480Mbps speed. Any Slim Optical Drive CD/DVD-ROM/RW can be easily, quickly and reliably converted to an External USB2.0 drive with our Slim Optical Drive enclosure. Once the drive is connected to a computer, a proper protocol/drivers will automatically load and provide instant access.
