DAT Optic, Inc.'s Dual FireWire Enclosure is an external enclosure with a built-in high-performance IDE to 1394 bridge adapter to convert two (2) IDE CD-RW, DVD, HDD, MO devices into FireWire devices. These peripherals can be quickly and reliably converted to plug-and-play FireWire versions, with support for both ATA and ATAPI devices. With the integrated Serial Bus Protocal (SBP-2), the enclosure can use generic device drivers available in the Microsoft Windows 98SE and Windows 2000 operating systems.
