OuruRAID offers up to 1.6TeraBytes of data storage in 1U rackmount chassis capable of transfer SUSTAIN rates of over 110MB/sec (requires TWO firewire 800 channels and Software RAID). The hyper speed is achieve able because our uRAID has TWO independent 1394b high performance bridge boards with hardware RAID 0 and 32MB of RAM buffer, each can easily transfer over 70MB/sec.

uRAID feature Direct Air (patent pending) technology to ensure hard drive temperatures only above ambient temperature 8oC at max, and this allowsuRAID to be operating 24/7 without worry of thermal run-away over-heating and definitely prolongs the hard drive life expectancy
